  • Runs in the browser, nothing to install
  • Every feature on every plan
  • Data separated per organisation

  • SCORM 1.2
  • SCORM 2004
  • Slide courses

  • Resume where you left off
  • Custom roles
  • Audit log
Why onlms

One platform to create, deliver and track training

Replace the patchwork of slide decks, shared drives and completion spreadsheets with one place your whole organisation can use.

Visual slide editor

Build courses in the browser with text, images, video and shapes on a 16:9 canvas. Start from a layout, then duplicate and reorder slides in seconds.

SCORM 1.2 and 2004

Upload the packages you already own. onlms unpacks and checks them, then records completion, scores and where each learner left off.

Assign or let people choose

Assign courses to the people who must take them, or open a course for self-enrolment so learners can join it from the catalogue.

Progress you can see

Status, progress, score and time spent for every learner on every course: always up to date, never a spreadsheet.

Roles that fit your organisation

Start with Account Admin, Instructor and Learner, then create custom roles with exactly the permissions each team needs.

A complete audit trail

Every change to users, roles, courses and settings, and every sign-in, is recorded with who did it, when and from where.

Create

Courses in minutes, not months

The slide editor gives your subject-matter experts a familiar canvas. No plugins, no design tools, no waiting for an agency.

  • Text, images, video and shapes, placed freely on the slide
  • Ready-made layouts: title, title and content, two columns
  • Duplicate, reorder and preview slides before you publish
  • Draft, published, archived: you decide when a course goes live

Import

Keep the content you already paid for

Upload SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 packages. onlms reads the manifest, plays every lesson in order and remembers each learner's place.

  • Completion, success status and scores straight from the package
  • Learners resume exactly where they stopped
  • Every upload is checked for size, file count and structure
  • Package content can run on its own, isolated domain

Measure

See who's done, who's stuck and who hasn't started

Every enrolment shows its status, progress, score and time spent, so you can follow up before a deadline passes, not after.

  • Not started, in progress, completed or failed, at a glance
  • Time spent counts only while the course is on screen
  • Scores and completion dates for every learner
  • Assign learners to a course in a few clicks

How it works

Up and running in three steps

  1. 1

    Create or import

Build slide courses in the editor, or upload the SCORM packages you already have.

  2. 2

    Assign or publish

Enrol the people who must take a course, or open it in the catalogue for anyone to join.

  3. 3

    Track and follow up

Follow progress, scores and time spent, and see at once who still needs to finish.

Roles and permissions

The right access for every person

Three built-in roles cover most organisations. When yours needs something different, build a custom role in a minute.

Account Admin

Built-in role

Runs the organisation: its people, roles, settings and audit log.

  • Manage users
  • Manage roles
  • Account settings
  • Audit log

Instructor

Built-in role

Creates courses, assigns learners and follows their progress.

  • Manage courses
  • Assign courses
  • View reports
  • View users

Learner

Built-in role

Takes assigned courses, joins others from the catalogue and picks up where they left off.

  • Take courses
  • Self-enrol

HR viewer

Custom role

Pick exactly the permissions a team needs. Nobody can grant more than they hold themselves.

  • View users
  • View reports
Security

Your data stays yours. Every change is on record.

onlms is built for organisations that answer to auditors, regulators and their own customers.

Strict tenant isolation

Each organisation's people, courses and records are walled off from every other.

Least-privilege roles

Nobody grants a permission they don't hold, and every organisation keeps an admin.

Hardened sign-in

Throttled attempts, salted password hashes, and sessions that end when a password changes.

Full audit trail

Support access is logged too, always with the name of the real person behind it.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Something we haven't covered? We're happy to help.

Talk to us
What kinds of courses can we run?

Two kinds: slide courses you build in the onlms editor, with text, images, video and shapes, and SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 packages from your authoring tools or content providers.

Can we bring our existing SCORM content?

Yes. Upload the package as a .zip file. onlms reads its manifest, plays the lessons in order and records completion, success status and scores, and each learner can resume where they stopped.

Is our data kept separate from other organisations?

Yes. Every organisation has its own account, and its users only ever see that account's people, courses and records. The boundary is enforced on the server for every request, not just hidden in the interface.

Can learners choose their own courses?

Yes. Assign the courses people must take, and open others for self-enrolment: those appear in the learners' catalogue next to their assigned courses.

How is time spent measured?

While a course is open, the player reports the time the page was actually on screen. A course left open in a background tab does not inflate anyone's numbers.

How do we get started?

Request a demo and tell us about your team. We set up your organisation's account and its first administrator, who can then add your people and start publishing courses.

Tell us about your team and what you need to teach. We'll walk you through authoring, SCORM import and reporting, and set up your organisation when you're ready.
